I knew it!

The old man is going to sacrifice himself for his youngest son. Ah! The melodrama.

Ooops. I'm mistaken, the brother who had joined the corrupt forces saves the day.

I'm in tears. This is so bad, it's almost funny.

There go the violins again....

I like Conan The Barbarian. It's all a matter what kind of cheese you like. XD

ahahah. This is the Brad Pitt and the shooting and the random sex scenes? I love the shooting.

Not enough shooting for me. I wanted them all dead within the first 20 minutes.

I enjoyed looking at the pretty sex scenes -- and enjoyed the fact that the camera mostly stayed on Brad Pitt. ;)

That movie was my yardstick for badness for a while ... until I saw House On Haunted Hill *grin*

I like Conan the Barbarian too. And, I'll freely admit, Red Sonja.

I've never seen Red Sonja, but if you like Conan I suspect I'd like it.

Of course, my two all-time favourite movies are:

1 - Airplane
2 - Clerks

Which should tell you something about me. ;)

Isn't that the movie where everyone is dead by the end? ;)

*plays violins* They always sound like cats being skinned. Maybe I never really had the talent for it, but violins are weird.

Well, I used to play in an orchestra, and the violin comes closest of all instruments to the human voice. But it's extremely manipulative to cue the dramatic violin voice just to twinge the heartstrings. I mean, get this, I was in the kitchen cooking, was trying not to listen to the damned film and I was still being affected, just because of the music.

They used every cheap trick in the book to get around having any depth whatsoever to their characters or explaining their motivations.

I love violins. When they're played well. Manipulative wooden bits. There are times the score's better than the film. :P

Noooooooooooo! I actually adore that film. I mean, yes, I know it's sentimental dribble, but... Hey, it's Brad, what more do you need?
:-)

Merry Christmas!

I can go for several minutes about how and why I loathe this film. Watching it was sheer torment.
