Ron Fiction Awards
Apr. 19th, 2005 10:27 amI'll be darned.
The Hat Trick, a story I sweated blood over, that drove me crazy, that I thought was too dark, that I feared my Ron Fic-A-Thon recipient would hate, that turned out to be a story that impressed my father (always a difficult task) has been nominated for a Multifaceted Award in the category of Best Ron Fic.
*blinks* I needed good news right about now.

That was the part that garnered me the most complaints from the youthful audience. "But Harry is more noble than this." Hmm. Actually, he seems pretty normal to me, and it's normal for a guy his age (especially rootless after his victory over Voldemort) to sleep around. All that fame's got to be good for something, right? Glad to see I'm not alone in this opinion.

I get the vibe that Harry's almost expecting to die by the end of the war, so if he survives I think he'd kind of go buck-wild, for lack of a better term.
Dreary is a really good word, sums things up perfectly. I'm glad this got nominated, it's a good fic and I hope you win :)
