School Whining!

(It's been so long. I know you've missed it.)

In today's exciting episode, Icarus wrestles a deadly gorgon (also known as student aid), has her research hopes dashed by a dashing yet overburdened professor ("Fie! Thou be-est not a Ph.D. candidate! Get thee gone, for my time is booked for fortnights into the forseeable future!"), and is trapped between the Prerequisite Only Offered In The Summer while lured by the Siren Call of $18-Per-Hour Temp Work.

Will she survive? Will she throw herself out a window in frustration?

I actually had a watilist for on-cmpus housing for my college of choice. Three weeks of headaches and nightmares of being stuck with my mother for another 4 months. I call tomorrow to see how things are progressing. If it's negative, I'm in for a year of community college... at home. ::grimaces::
