ReunionDraco: Why did you think Ron would agree to have your baby? Why were you so confident he would? And will you ever share the horrors of what he's about to go through?!

Draco smiles.

You get to know a person when you live with them for a while, and Ron hasn't changed that much. Other than the extra weight which he really needs to do something about if he plans to keep me. Besides, you should see the shit-hole he was living in! I figured he needed a break. Anything to get him out of there. Not to mention the slap in the face to his ex. I'm going to enjoy that almost as much as Ron -- and I haven't even met her.

You see, women are really strange about male pregnancy. Oh, in theory they like it. But for all the times they've said 'Why don't you carry the baby?' or 'I'd like to see you go through labor!' when confronted with the reality... it's like you've trespassed on their private 'woman only' temple. They really hate it!

As for horrors? What horrors? It's my understanding that pregnancy is different for everyone, and there's no predicting what will happen. *clears throat* Why get Ron worked up over something that might not even happen?

I happened to have 2 good pregnancies, for which my husband was most thankful for but I don't know about men.

Ron might get even more moody than he is. And if you think his eating habits are bad now, wait till he gets cravings.

Of course, then there's the sex but I will let you discover all the 'joys' by yourself...

Sex? Severus didn't mention that! Of course, he wouldn't, Mister Gloom & Doom. That's sort of why I'm not too worried about all his warnings. I mean, he sees the worst in everything.

Food cravings. I forgot about that. Frankly, I tried to be as far as I could from my wife when all that 'stuff' was going on. She was so moody and unpleasant. Well. More so than usual anyway.

I just hope you know what you're getting into. Same for Ron for that matter...

Is there any guarantee it will be a boy? What if you have another girl? Would you ask Ron again? *snerks*

Oh. You think 'moody' like Ron-type moody, the sort where the other person person is actually upset? No, it wasn't like that. She'd just cut her toast more loudly than usual. Scrape, scrape. What a sound.

Now if it were Ron the whole dish would sail across the room, leaving me to contemplate Rorsach drawings in the spills. Now that I can handle!

My mother, she was a real drama queen. She said it was the Russian blood in her family.

One time I was standing outside, minding my own business, and all these roses and water came down on my head! Right out of nowhere. My parents never fought in front of me, but, boy, I could hear her yell from the third story window. She could make father crawl, probably the only person other than Voldemort who could do it. (If you add that includes me, I resent that. So don't say it.) I guess the flowers were some sort of apology. I couldn't tell what she said exactly, but I've a fair guess the apology was not accepted.

No falling flowers or water with me. I was the messenger between them actually.

"Please tell your father such and such..."

"Please tell your mother such and such..."

*rolls eyes* I always hated that dammit. But this is not about me, it's about you and Ron.

Dishes sailing across the room. *grins* You can handle those, sure. And I guess if Ron then decides to withhold sex, it won't matter much either.

Have you any idea what Ron's sex drive is like now? Withhold sex? Ron? *laughs* Yeah, he can restrain himself about as well as he can keep from snacking.

Oh god. He's really going to pork up, isn't he? With not even Quidditch to keep him in shape?

Oh, he might hate that. That will fall into the mood swings category...

BUT, this is just the little stuff. In the end, you will have this new baby and all will be well.

What will happen to Ron then? Will you let Ron be a part of the baby's life, since he IS the child's um, *whispers* mother?

I'm a Malfoy. I am not, by definition, required to be fair. If we were always fair, well, we'd be as poor as the Weasleys. You should hear some of the family history.

I can almost hear my father now. "Ask him? Get his permission first? What is to prevent you slipping the potion into some beverage and simply taking what you require?"

Really, I've been more than reasonable.
