wildernessguru's mom passed away at 3:40am Saturday morning.
Not chatty at the moment. More details later.
As it works out, if we hadn't built in that extra day for the nationals -- which I blew off -- we would have arrived late Friday night with plans to see her on Saturday... and she would have been gone.
As it was, the entire family, all the kids and grandkids were there Friday.
Thank you for all your thoughts, prayers, candles, and good wishes. I know they helped. Talk to you tomorrow.

Date: 2007-01-30 03:05 am (UTC)This whole death thing is a bad idea. There are no good circumstances to die, given this was as ideal as you can get -- hospice, nursing care, morphine, the whole family around her telling her what a good mom she was.
It's a little less surreal today.
