Whoa, holy cow am I up to my eyeballs in readings. I'm in my second week of classes and am already running on three hours of sleep this week, just to keep up.

I haven't even started work on the Incomplete.

How the hell am I going to do this?

So I need breaks. Non sleep-related breaks of mindlessness.

amothea's finished the first pass at the Lorne/Sheppard story. I'm looking around hopefully. Any interest in a beta? Anyone? It's 20,000 words, or thereabouts.

LOL. That was the problem Amothea had. She kept getting into the story and forgetting to beta it. So after three passes she had almost nothing -- and I know there are more problems than that.

I'm okay as a beta, a little, um, work-a-holic-y (scare people off). You know where I suck? As a mod. I either want to drop Thor's hammer on everyone or I just say, "You know what? Tear each other apart. See if I care."

i'm planning to do some more work on this weekend, but not sure how much i'll be able to get done as my hubby is home this weekend. and he doesn't know about my little *ahem* hobby (and i'm not sure if i want to try to explain it to him either, lol)

that and the fact that he's getting ready to go play army games for 3 weeks, so i'm kind of obligated to spend some time with him. though i expect he'll be running off to the armorory here & there, so i might sneak some writing time in then.

I'd offer, but I get twitchy outside of my otp which is dismal and sad and blinkered etc and I am clearly aware of it, but I'd not want to do a bad beta. Or use bad grammar, which er, I think is far too late for this comment.

You do it one bit at a time, as fast as you can possibly manage and still take in information. *nod* Or get yourself cloned and develop the ability to learn by osmosis.

I'll read the story, I usually do even if I have to close my eyes for large segments. Or hum loudly. You are a good writer, due to the lack of good writing in the world it would be a shame to miss out on what is there.

Auburn liked it, and she's not a Lorne fan, so I think you might be happily surprised. Also, this is one of those stories that doesn't easily fit into a category as it's straddling so many.

I love, love, love to read fanfiction, but unfortunately I make a horrible beta. I get way too into the story. I even tend to skip over typos and missing words. I read what should be there and not what is there. :p

I must say this story is definitely in my top 10 list and that is saying something considering I have read hundreds and hundreds of fanfic! It just made me giggle way too much and the imagery...*fans self* :D

I slowly became better at beta-ing, but I do still tend to overwhelm whomever I'm beta-ing for. I try to tell people that the more comments I have, the better the story is, honest! It means I got into it.
