Heh. I had to go out and fight the crowd today to get stuff for my mum. Shopping: 1/2 hour
Driving: 1 1/2 hour


It was... really icky. And people kept hitting into me in the stores.

It was surprisingly quiet. But then again, we were going out to buy a tree and then some stocking stuffers. Not exactly a trip to the Macy's chaos.

I only went one place yesterday, and that was because I *had* to. The airport was insane around 11:30am. Of course, the aforementioned snowstorm probably had a great deal to do with that.

But you couldn't have paid me enough to get me near any retail. Nope. Even if the weather had been good.

And buying a tree three days before Christmas? Last time I looked that late, all the little lots were gone. Except one... which was unmanned and had a small pile of abandoned trees. Poor woobie trees.

Yeah, I've been bugging WG since last weekened for us to go out and get a tree but it's been foot-drag, foot-drag, foot-drag. He just didn't wanted to do it when he got home from work in the afternoon and I haven't wanted to get up at at 4am to drive him to work so I could take the car. Also, no way I'm picking out a tree without him. He's picky and I get razzed for, oh, a bare spot or some-such.

As it was, I was nervous about it, but there was no problem finding a tree.

Must be all those Washington forested slopes.

I wanted a tree. In the past, I do all the decorating stuff on Thanksgiving weekend. But this year I both worked and moved that weekend. And I'm *still* up to my ears in boxes, leaving no place for a tree. :( I know where it'll go next year, though.

Being where you are, yeah, tree shopping's gotta be cake. It sucks here. No damn trees!
