I suspect-- don't have any stats on it-- that sex workers (of the prostitutional type) might be hurting a bit, though.
A friend of mine in the industry said that the economic dramas over here were fucking up work for her-- less disposable income-- and other businesses, too. I mean, what's $25 a month for a shitload of porn compared to $100 for an hour of someone's time and some sex to some people?
(And I think porn would have gone that way, economic crisis or not. The net provides a more anonymous means of purchasing and consumption-- and it's more immediate than, say, buying some mags/vids and having to go home to view them. Nowadays you just get to upload from the comfort of your own home... To me, it's just evolution. :) )
