painless_j. This seems to be one of the more stunningly self-absorbed memes rolling around, but as I have a math test I'm not ready for tomorrow that will sink all hopes of my completing my degree by June, I'm feeling like I need some distraction.
1. For those who haven't seen me / a photo of me: (that leaves you out, EA ;)
What do I look like? How you imagine me? Tall or short? Fat or skinny? What colour and length is my hair? What colour are my eyes? Am I graceful or awkward?
2. How do you all see me? Am I:
*a leader or a follower
*quiet or talkative
*spontaneous or planned
*dominant or submissive
*logical or intuitive
*social or loner
*kinky or vanilla
*cute or sophisticated
*kitten or puppy
*warm flannel sheets or sleek satin
*helpfully adviceful or just nosy
*patient or anxious
*conventional or eccentric
Color me amused. I think this would probably be easy, except for the appearance part which I never mention.

Date: 2004-12-21 10:04 am (UTC)I am 5'1", but here's the odd thing: people are generally surprised that I'm that small, even when they've known me for years and they're looking at me. Can someone 'seem' taller?
And you are skinny.
Quite. Dainty is the word, with teeny, tiny feet.
You have brown eyes and dark blonde/light brown hair that is maybe down to your shoulders.
Close. Brown eyes, dark brown hair, but yep, shoulder length, in dire need of a haircut.
You are graceful-ish, but look silly when you dance. :D
:D In my opinion I look silly when I dance. But according to a dance teacher I have a "natural grace, it's a pity she doesn't take this more seriously."
*a leader
I'm certainly not a follower, but I avoid leading whenever I can.
*quiet *and* talkative, depending
Talkative, but I've learned to shut up and let others speak.
*planned
I've learned to plan, but I prefer to just take things as they come when I have a choice. My brother and I used to go for "drives." What this meant is we'd gas up our car, gather up a pile of good driving music, and then deliberately get lost on unfamiliar roads. No one who likes to plan would do that. :D
*dominant
Very.
*logical
I'm both actually, which is very odd. I think I'm more naturally intuitive, but I don't trust intuition so I run it through a thorough analysis to be sure.
*social *and* loner, depending
I veer pretty far towards loner, actually. I've always had only a handful of carefully picked friends who need a crowbar to pry me out of the house. Among those friends I'm the "idea" man, however.
*kinky
Dead on!
*sophisticated
Gosh, I've been called both. I don't know. When people talk about how I look, it's always "cute." But my tastes in music, furniture, et al tend towards the elegant rather than cutesy. In fact, I think you have it, because I detest cute.
*puppy
Kitten! Oh, purring kitten every time.
*warm flannel sheets
Yep. Satin's nice, but I hate that first moment of cold when you touch satin.
*helpfully adviceful
Definitely. People have alway come to me with the really rough situations in their lives, because I don't blink.
*patient
Depends on the subject. Patient with other people, not so patient with myself.
*eccentric
I have a good "normal" facade that I developed in the corporate world, but, ah, I've never been called normal by people who know me. ;)
Wow. You did pretty good.

Date: 2004-12-21 08:36 pm (UTC)You do seem taller. You must just write like an amazon.
And I am so jealous of the car rides w/ the brother. I need me a brother. My sister is okay, but she's, like, eight, so no driving for ages and ages.

Date: 2004-12-21 09:32 pm (UTC)My brother and I are less than a year apart, which makes him... hmm... late 30's. :D Been driving a while.
There were good sides to being attached at the hip for so many years, though you couldn't've told us that at the time (at least not when we were in the middle of our numerous squabbles).
