That new Adult Content rating thingy.

I changed my general settings to Adult Content then looked at my LJ.

All of my posts looked the same, with the same cut-tag. The only difference from one post to the next was the title and the music.

"Wow. What a boring journal," I said.

Eh. Forget it. I turned the settings off.

I have a percentage in being interesting to newcomers. Why read if I'm not?

I figure that between the Buddhism, school stuff, the whacked out mom (did I tell you about the time she told my friend Christopher he was the Antichrist?), David Hewlett videos, figure skating, laughing at George Bush our-new-peace-activist, annoying landlady, recs, memes, forgetting which toothbrush is whose -- yeah, I'm not seeing 50% explicit content. That setting's not for me.

In other news -- what did they do to TampaxTM? These haven't changed in 30 years and they're now... ow. They're short and stubby and too wide and shapped all wrong. Ow. This is not a place I want to hurt.

Hehe, I've never found any tampon that was comfortable, in any country. Guess that makes me strange in many regards :P

Pfft, they need a 20% adult content rating for journals, for those that sometimes have it - more often than never, but not so often as to be mostly. As for the rest? Meh. At least you have variety in your posts.

Well, "foreign object inserted for hours on end in a non-stimulating manner" is pretty much the definition of uncomfortable. But there are relative levels. Minor discomfort. Moderate discomfort. Sharp pain....

I'm thinking of doing a post on lettuce. And one detailing the Iran military laughing at just how pathetic it is. (They have *one* submarine patrolling the entire coastline. *One.* Their ballistic missle program couldn't hit the broad side of a barn.)

Generally not pain, but moderate-high discomfort for the entire duration of my menses for the rest of my life is enough to make me go 'yerk, no thanks.' I have bad enough moods as it is. Pain is a bad, bad thing.

See, that would definitely be variety. What sort of lettuce? Hmm, Iran is not particularly well known for its marvellous military tech despite its nice active service program and the like. Still, as many countries have shown... high tech is not all there is to that sort of thing, grim and bitter determination has a good standing too.

Ah, a conversation above reminded me: I used to have this problem. It was a little like sticking a small railroad tie up there. I never forgot it was there and it was, at best, distracting. Uh. This went away when I started having sex.

I'm not sure about what kind of lettuce. But it seems a worthy topic.

As for grim and bitter determination, yes. Korea has stood up to China time and again for centuries. I'm just now learning about how Korea booted China out in the 1100s. *g* Oh, yes, China won. But not for long.
