LOL! The season five promo pic. Wow, that sucks. (Note: contains a spoiler).

What's with the water splash? And hahahahahaha, they superimposed water over clouds. Whee! Love how they highlighted sparkles over Teyla and Keller's eyes.

Ronon's hair is blowing one way. Keller's is blowing the other.

Joe Flanigan "striding" looks like a total dork. The petulant pouty lips with the robot eyes. Bad combo. "I'd shoot lasers from my eyes, if I weren't so hung over today."

Teyla looks a Victoria's Secret model, with that same vacant stare, busting out of her bodice. "The new Athosian line lace up corset tops... only by Victoria's Secret." All she needs is a blond wig--oh, wait.

David Hewlett opted to shelve Rodney for this photo and is playing Worth from Cube instead.

And, oh, isn't that the SG-1 stargate with the SGA chevrons glued on?

Keller just looks like she's about to fall flat on her face into the water and Joe's whole pose is more than a little amusing. Then there's the fact that three of the four guys have utterly no trace of the water that the others have on them what so ever. Photoshop gone wrong.

Oh, yeah, you're right. Hewlett's jacket looks fake-wet, and I think they've tried to put beads of water on Flanigan's collar, but everyone else-?

I love how they managed to avoid making anyone's pants wet, too -- while walking through water. Because that wouldn't soak in or anything.

It looks like they just took a spray bottle full of water and attacked David randomly then just sprayed Rachel and Jewel as an after thought. And I can't tell if that's water in Joe's hair or if it's just all product.

Didn't they do the same thing in one of the other seasons' promo pics? If I recall correctly their pants were perfectly dry as well.

Why do they always have Flanigan do that exact pose? It's like the last 'striding through water' photo they did. I swear, different outfit but exact same stance and expression.

Also, to me, Hewlett looks a little constipated, and the girls look really surprised.

Yeah, these are some of the most amateur looking 'professional' photos I've ever had the misfortune to see. I mean, the whole "standing with one foot up" thing is just so... so... 12 year old fanboy/girl. And if I think about what the direction for their facial expressions must have been I start laughing.

That's certainly the thought that crossed my mind! I mean, they *have* the set, they must have had the actors "in hand" at some point (um, wait a minute till my 12-year-old mind gets done giggling over "in hand")(and the somewhat more mature parts get un-glazed at the same thought). Did they *look* at those pictures? I didn't think anything could outdork the last striding-through-the-water shot. Boy, was I wrong!

What in hell did they do to Hewlett's head? It looks like they tried to morph it or something and squished up his features and ballooned his forehead - like a funhouse mirror or... remember those bitter beer commercials? He's got the bad Photoshop face going.

JFlan just looks more like he's shambling than striding, like in the next minute he stretched out his hands and started moaning, "Brains...brains...could we get some brains in the promotional department?"

In order that none of the actors could play the "asking for more money next season" game and to make them all worry about whether they will be in the next series all the photos were taken individually in a little back room. This would explain the completely different lighting/effects on each person *on each person*. Note the angles of light on the various costumes. Every thing was P'shopped on by different artists who had no overall brief. The studio execs wanted the women to look hot, hot HOT! So pull in that jacket and stick out the boobs, girls. The men were all desperate to get to the loo Oh yes, constipated is hot right? Poor JF looks hungover.
The whole thing is just AAAAAAAaaaaaaaarghhh!
