I've been plagiarized.

Skinny Dipping has been ripped off and posted on Fanfiction.net.

My story, Skinny Dipping, Harry/Percy, was written in 2003. So far as I can tell Cedric17 didn't change a word.

The reason I'd never posted it at Fanfiction.net is that the story is NC-17, violates the TOU, and it even includes underaged sex. Harry is 14 and Percy is 18.

What an S.O.B.

Thank you to Miranda who brought this to my attention.

ETA: I bet they thought they could get away with this because it's a lesser-known story, having had less play because of the chan issue.

I did a abuse report. I know I would be all kinds of furious if I found something of mine, posted by someone who wasn't me.

I'm sorry I can't do anything more.

Thank you. I want the story taken down, yesterday. No. Two weeks ago.

They've had the story up since July 11th, though I'm glad to see that they don't have any reviews besides people pointing out that it's stolen. I wonder what other stories they've stolen under other names.

I should probably be more pissed off than I am, but I know how good ff.net is about pulling stories down. For once that's going to be a good thing.

I want this twit thrashed. >:D

Scumsucking bottom-dweller, no shit.

I've been waiting for this. I had feeling it was going to happen sooner or later, because so many of my friends have been plagiarized. I'm surprised it was Skinning Dipping of all things. But I've noticed that's what they pick: stories that are obscure enough they might just get away with it.

I wonder what else has been stolen.

What a dipshit. They didn't even change the title.

I really don't understand the point of plagiarizing. You get comments, but there's no way anyone could delude himself into thinking he deserves them. So sorry this happened to you. :( I submitted a report as well, as the noisiest wheel gets the fastest attention. xD

Thank you. I want to hammer this asshole.

You get comments, but there's no way anyone could delude himself into thinking he deserves them.

When I was in high school I knew someone who liked to lie. He'd lie to his friends and try to do it so convincingly that they couldn't tell. Then he'd laugh. He enjoyed it. It gave him a sense of power and superiority over the people he fooled.

I told one of my friend's mom that he had a fundamental problem with his ethics and that I thought he'd get in serious trouble one day, because he didn't care about right and wrong, not even where it concerned his friends. It wasn't three years later that he was in trouble with the police.

In this scarily positively nice mood I am in at the moment (poke me this weekend - should be around - and will explain it) while being angry on your behalf, I kind of feel sorry for the idiot who posted it. Quite sad to know that you are so terrible that you have to rip off somoene who writes so brilliantly (there see = some fangirling!). Just, its a loose loose scenario - this person has stuck the fic up there in a blatant call for feedback. If they get the feedback they require - it must be a bitter pill as its not even their work, and if they don't - well, imagine how pathetic you would feel if you're so unknown that you plagarise one of the best, and you STILL don't manange to get any attention!

Hope al is well with you sweetheart!

that's terribly sad (read: pathetic). i'm glad everyone's reporting them, and if they've taken this story you can bet that most (if not all) of their others are plagiarized as well.

i've never understood the point of plagiarizing, but i guess that's because i'm an english major, and it's been instilled in me not to. it goes against every fibre of my being to even consider it, and i remember being terrified of having to write essays in high school not because i didn't want to, but because i was pretty advanced for a high school kid then i came to university and no one else wrote like me so i worried that my professors would think i was stealing off of someone else. it helped, though, that we didn't actually have the internet until i was 17 or so. and, y'know, i credited every single source i ever used.

it just doesn't make sense to steal someone else's writing. it's sad that people do that because it shows they're either lazy or really just can't think on their own in the least, and i think that would be the worst thing to be labeled.

I promised a little John/Rodney porn, didn't I?

Date: 2006-08-13 08:56 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] icarusancalion.livejournal.com

It was the only way Rodney could get John to bottom.

A wash of bluish morning light filtered through the stained-glass windows that John always insisted be left open, the waves of Atlantis a distant steady rhythm below. His narrow shoulders cuddled deeper under Rodney's comforter with a satisfied sigh that evened out into soft breathing.

The first slide of Rodney's palm down his smooth side made John edge away, brows drawing together in a frown, his mouth a sleepy pout. He was ticklish when he was awake. Rodney found the hard line of his rather boney hipbone and traced it, curving around to his ass, and John relaxed.

Sheets whispering, Rodney leaned up, his elbow denting the pillow, watching John cautiously as John moved over to give Rodney more room. John was generous in his sleep. Rodney amused himself thinking his cat could make John roll out of bed. It was a good thing Rodney himself slept like a log.

His hand continued to smooth circles over John's ass, massaging, dipping down between John's thighs along his perineum, then sliding up to his balls, the hair coarse and damp. John's breathing hitched, became deeper and more audible. His chest rose and fell in time with Rodney's touch.

Inconveniently, John rolled onto his back, one knee raised.

With a wry snort Rodney retreated, fingers carding pleasantly through the hair on the back of John's leg. He traced the hard muscle across the top of his leg then back down to his inner thigh. He deepened the strokes, paused to explore the smooth patch between his legs, almost to his balls, and then returned.

John sniffed, his breathing quiet again, and Rodney looked up to find a faint glimmer of narrow slit-eyes blinking, uncomprehending. Rodney had learned that "eyes open" didn't necessarily mean John was awake. John could give orders in his sleep in a ringing clear voice, and only the fact that those orders made no sense whatsoever gave him away.

The thigh nearest Rodney slowly fell open, inviting, and Rodney cupped John's balls and his soft cock with a gentle squeeze. He edged closer to John, his breath short, feeling John's cock swell into a smooth mound under his palm. He stopped before John was fully hard. He'd learned that if he woke John up now, he'd find himself tumbled onto his back, his plans spoiled. He ran one hand up through the hair on John's stomach while he reached underneath to feel John's ass.

Sure enough, John responded, rolling back onto his side as he pressed his ass into Rodney's hand with a comfortable sigh. Jackpot.

One hand on John's small cheek, Rodney precariously stretched for the lube on the end table… but couldn't… quite… reach. He made a swipe and knocked it with a clatter to the floor. He had gave up on his grip and leaned over the edge of the bed, flailing along the dark cold tiles till he found it.
